transports. Schroeder offers its customers overnight and door to door delivery service. Depending on the task, they promise a 24 hour delivery within their local area of distribution and a 24 to 48 hour delivery within Germany. The company is certified for the transportation, storage, and distribution of refrigeraeted goods according to the IFS Logistics Vers.2 <\/p>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t<div class=\"col-md-4\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"gl_space_right5\"><div class=\"gl_h4big\"> Problem<\/div>\r\n    <p>Perishable foods must be transported in an atmosphere-controlled environment. For meat and fish that require freezing, they must always be maintained at a temperature of minus 18\u00b0 Celsius (-0.4\u00b0 F). Fresh fish may reach a maximum of 4\u00b0 Celcius (39.2\u00b0 F) and milk no more than 8\u00b0 Celsius (46.4\u00b0 F). It is necessary during transportation to quickly balance the temperature when it falls below or exceeds the required temperature. The dispatchers can see at any moment the current location of the truck and cargo, the temperatures in the various cooling chambers, and the total amount of fuel consumed. Alarms warned the dispatchers at precisely defined thresholds when the temperature was too high or too low. A Garmin navigation system was connected to the ENAiKOON locate-06 tracking device, making door-to-door deliveries more efficient and on time. In the fleet management software, inViu pro, dispatchers are able to send drivers messages, driving jobs, and directions while the manager is able to review driving statistics transmitted from the vehicles CAN bus. Their goal of saving 10% per year on fuel costs by modifying driving behaviour is now within their reach.
