ENAiKOON rfid-tag is available in a vast array of diverse designs, shapes and sizes – depending on the usage location. The word “TAG” is used in the sense of “sticker”, or “label”.
Fundamentally, one can differentiate between active and passive TAGs:
Passive TAGs:
These do not contain a battery, but rather receive their power from the reading device. The TAG contains of a coil-shaped antenna. In it, a current is generated when the magnetic waves of the reading device reach the cool. This is how the TAG obtains the power for its own electronics.
The electronics system in the TAG uses this energy, in turn, to send a globally unique number, which is then received and analysed by the reading device.
Active TAGs:
Active TAGs contain a battery. The battery is used partially, or completely, for the power supply of the electronics of the tag. Waterproof and dustproof sealed TAGs are available, as are TAGs with exchangeable batteries.
